Darian Richardson, one of four principal owners of Promotion Execution Partners (PEP), has recently been appointed to Central State University’s Business Advisory Council.
The council, comprised of representatives from a range of industries and company sizes, assists the College of Business and Industry in ensuring students succeed in their selected career fields by enhancing curriculum and expanding opportunities for practical corporate experience. The goal is to match student preparation with the needs of the business industry.
Richardson said his addition to the council will continue to build an already flourishing relationship with CSU. For more than three years, PEP has been an active recruiter on the CSU campus, hiring its first two interns from the university. As a Minority Business Enterprise, PEP places emphasis on achieving diversity in potential new hires and CSU is an esteemed historically black university in the region that consistently produces a promising candidate pool. PEP also launched the CSU Clinic in October 2007, mentoring 12 business students through the 10-week professional development program on-site at PEP.
“Our goal is to continue playing a direct role in offering opportunities for professional development to CSU students by maintaining our internship program and CSU Clinic,” Richardson said. “We can also offer insight on what’s out there in the promotion industry, make curriculum recommendations, and support fund-raising initiatives that will continue to support the goals of the university.”
Richardson, as PEP Sales Manager, oversees new business development initiatives to continue growing PEP’s customer base. He holds a master’s degree in business from Central Michigan University and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Grand Valley State University. Richardson, 31, resides in downtown Cincinnati.
