Cincinnati promotion and marketing firm wins H.J. Heinz supplier award for cost savings

Promotion Execution Partners has been awarded the Heinz 2008 Pyramid Builder Award for Cost.
 
The PEP Heinz Team earned the honor for having identified and tracked cost savings since PEP began working with H.J. Heinz Co. in March 2007. The team logged 18 cost savings incidents for the 2008 fiscal year that ended April 30.
 
These savings were recorded in PEP’s trademarked web application PEPConnect™. Once a cost savings and avoidance incident is identified by trained personnel, it is verified with the client. Upon validation, the dollar amount and methodology for achieving the savings is recorded in PEP Connect™ for future reference.
 
The award announcement was made June 3 at the food manufacturer and marketer’s annual Supplier Symposium, where suppliers are highlighted for stellar performance against the Heinz Pyramid. Awards are garnered in each of six categories on the pyramid - quality, service, business alignment, cost, cash and innovation. The Pyramid Builder Award is the precursor for the Supplier of the Year Award, which requires excellence in all six categories.
 
Though a relatively new Heinz supplier, Heinz Vice President of Ketchup Dave Ciesinski described PEP as an “indispensable asset at a key time for us.”
